Here’s a great photo of Roger Brioso, my grandfather’s brother, wearing a baseball uniform in Cuba. It’s shot in front of one of our family homes, perhaps in Bolondron, Matanzas. Judging by how young Roger looks in the photo, it’s probably from the 19-teens. Judging by how much he’s choking up on the bat, he must have been strictly a contact hitter.
